It's been a while, but I'll try to update the site regularly... we'll see how that works :) I'll be going to grad school next year for Social Psychology, which according to some people will give me more free time than I had in undergrad.
So here's some good news for this week: Bans on CFCs and other ozone depleting have put us in a substantially better position in regards to global warming than we otherwise would have been. Here's the source:
This isn't so much a tip, more of a plan. I think every week or two, I'll try to go over my impact on the environment, and see if I can come up with at least one way to improve for the following week or two. Hopefully this'll lead to constant improvement.
Also, I've now purchased some stuff from the rainforest site (we have a link in the community info). In their store, each purchase helps preserve rainforest land. They have a larger selection than I thought, and everything was good, no problems with delivery. The only downside is if you live in Canada it goes through customs, and so picks up some extra costs, but it's still really good if you want to buy some gifts for someone and help preserve some rainforest land at the same time.
That's it for now. Take care everyone!
