A great new zine is under construction and looking for skilled writers. Young or old, new or experienced at publishing, if you can write well on green issues, we want you!
We are looking for strongly written pieces, either new or already written or published - 250 to 500 words in length - sharing news and shedding light on topics like sustainable living, environmental protection, green energy sources, habitat protection, urban green issues, global environmental crises, humanitarian foreign policy, etc.
Although the magazine will be distributed mostly in Vancouver, British Columbia, we are looking for a balance between local, national and global articles. We will publish bi-weekly, beginning in March. We also welcome contributions from very good writers in the form of regular columns.
Payment will be per-article, commiserate with experience.
Please contact Amanda at firstname.lastname@example.org with a less than 20-word pitch of your piece if it is not yet written and submit a sample of your writing, or for pieces already written, submit your piece along with details on when, where, and why it was written or published before. All writing and ideas submitted must be your own.
Plagiarism will not be tolerated in any form! See the discussion and definitions of plagiarism at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plagia
P.S. Pass the word on to your friends that we are also looking for experienced copy editors, graphic designers, and distributors with street corner or door-to-door canvassing skills.
I recently received this from the paper I work for and I thought I'd pass it on to you guys.
