Arbour Day!

Hello fellow members of our dying community, this is an effort to perhaps get something started and provide terrophany with its first good deed at York for the semester (and by first good deed I obviously mean on a larger basis than recycling, etc). Anyhow, I couldn't help but notice the poster in Central Square for Plant-a-Tree day at York! "What a great idea!" I thought to myself and I couldn't wait to share this with you guys. Anyway, if you aren't in the know, then it just so happens that this wonderful event is taking place tomorrow i.e Thursday October 20th, 2005.

For those of you who are interested in (or have doubts about) Arbour Day, then the benefits/rewards of your participation are the obvious: enhancing the environment and being good to our friends with roots. But if that doesn't satisfy, then you'll also be receiving a free "green team" t-shirt as well as free food! "A free t-shirt PLUS free food," you must be thinking, "Now I DEFINITELY have to go!" In that case, the details are as follows: Time: 11-2PM Place: 313 Student Centre. Be there or be Square!

I'd go, but I have midterms coming up and don't live in toronto.
Hope it turns out well for everyone that has the gumption!
I wish I would have checked my livejournal sooner. It's now Friday :(

Oh well. If you go onto Greenpeace.ca there are a lot of postings about events in Toronto. That's another start.
